Lewis Youth Band
Leslie Lewis Elementary School, located in the west side Chicago neighborhood of North Austin, is the home of the Lewis Band. The Lewis Band program provides high quality daily music training at the beginning to intermediate levels to over twenty young musicians. In addition to instrument lessons, band rehearsals, chamber music work, and other music electives such bucket band and electronic music composition, students have many opportunities to learn about themselves and explore the human condition through our human values curriculum.

All students in the Lewis Band Program will receive an instrument to use for free.
